Q: Will I be able to shop at beauty distributors after training with you?
A: Yes, upon successful completion of your program you will be certified to shop at all distributors across Canada(excluding NS & NB as they have unique provincial requirements) as well as most in the UK & USA as well.
Q: Do you teach acrylic nails or gel?
A: Due to the high level of fumes from acrylic, we are a gel only academy.
Q: What’s the difference between the FastTrack and the 6 week Certification?
A: The FastTrack is comprised of 5 days and laid out over a Monday to Friday. Each day of class is jam packed and designed to set you u for success quickly!
The Weekend Certification runs on full weekends Sat/Sun weekly or bi-weekly 3 times until all 6 classes have finished.
They each have a practicum after, the main difference is the extra practice time in between classes will count towards the practicum sets rather than doing them all afterwards. If you’d like to know more just dm us!!
Q: Is there any extra cost of supplies or materials for class that aren’t mentioned?
A: Nope, we include everything you’ll need to get started. Our program is proudly taught using award winning professional gel industry leader Ugly Duckling. Quality is so important here at Celestial, and we set you up with the best! You kit even includes extras like a luxury dust vacuum, electric file, ceramic and diamond bits, art supplies like chrome and glitter, extra UD brushes, plus your full system for salon sanitation and disinfection and much more! We truly set you up for success!
Q: I’m on a budget, is it possible to take the certification with less stuff?
A: The course kit was carefully curated to have everything you need, so we can’t really remove much from it. However we do have a variety of payment plans we are willing to work with you on.
Q: Will I be certified as soon as I finish the course?
A: After you complete your in class training, you’ll take a written exam followed by a working practicum. You’ll send in photos of your work and I’ll continue to support and mentor you until you receive an 80% or higher finished result on 3 consecutive sets. This means you get way more time to ask questions and hone your skills! Our absolute goal is to send you off feeling fully confident and prepared to take on anything!
Q: How long does it take to gain my certification?
A: This depends on your personal goals and how much time you carve out for your homework and practice. Most students gain their certification within 3 months of completing the in-class portion of the program. But you have up to 6 months after classes to gain your certification. We get it, life can happen and unexpected things can come up, so if needed you can always request an extension as well!
Q: I sometimes struggle to retain things, I'm worried I won't remember all the steps?
We understand that everyone learns differently and at different rates. To make things even easier on you, our certification also includes a full online video library that walks you through everything you learn in class step by step so you can rewatch the videos as many times as you want at home for a full year after classes end! This is unique to Celestial and something not offered by other academies. Our goal is to ensure you are fully prepared and equipped to gain your certification during your working practicum, and leave classes confident and without any questions unanswered.
